McCormick Place Convention Center
Tackles Its Pigeon and Gull Problems
|
| |
McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL, is one of the largest and most prestigious convention centers in the world. So when pest birds like pigeons and gulls started camping out on the beams of their lakefront building and leaving their messy bird droppings and ensting materials on the sidewalks below (posing a slip and fall hazard for passersby), they decided to take action and call in the Nation Wide Bird Control team of experts. |

Although a large undertaking, sealing off all of the overhead areas with bird netting was the most effective way to deter the tenacious pest birds from roosting.
Large boom lifts were used to install large bird net panels across the underside of the tall, exposed beam areas, providing an effective bird barrier for the building.
